Vice President’s Profile

Dr. Talat Azhar is currently serving as Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Dean of Student Affairs (IESA). She oversees the Office of Institutional Research, Center for Pedagogical Excellence, Office of Academic Performance, Student Life, Wellness Center, Office of Career Services, the University Library, and Campus Environment.

Dr. Azhar came to Habib University from The Pennsylvania State University where she was Associate Director of the Hubert H. Humphrey Program and Affiliate Faculty in Education Policy Studies. Dr. Azhar worked with Penn State Outreach for 12 years where she was responsible for market research for Educational Programs through the Penn State World Campus. She received a dual doctoral degree from Penn State in Education Theory and Policy and Comparative and International Education. Her doctoral research focused on education of women in developing countries. Dr. Azhar also holds an MBA from the Smeal College of Business and a Masters in Architecture from the College of Arts and Architecture at The Pennsylvania State University. She obtained her Bachelors in Architecture from the Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
