HU library team aim is to provide services for learning with Passion. We deliver Libraries deliver a range of academic services that support teaching, learning and research. The library provides stimulating, user centered environment and learning spaces, and customer-centered services supported by digital technologies.
Borrowing and Renewal Services
We extend borrowing services to the HU community members (faculty, students and staff) as per borrowing privileges, rules and policies. Materials can be borrowed and returned at the circulation desks located at first floor. The materials include course books, course packs, reference books and academic journals. It is important to keep in mind that any material borrowed from the library is subject to recall. The renewals or re-issuance of materials can be done twice.

Patrons may ask for IT Support related to printing, enabling internet on your digital device, self-service portal, campus management system at the information commons ground floor. Call 7112 for further assistance.
Incase HU community need an item not available in the existing library collection (print book or online article), library will attempt to borrow it from another library within the city through ‘Inter-Library Loan’ arrangement. Call 5524 or 5523 for further assistance or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online Literature Searching for assignments and projects
Library Staff helps HU community members through one-on-one training or workshops and facilitate them in conducting a literature search on a particular subject or topic and may facilitate in
- Sharing details of right resources for your search
- Fine-tuning your search strategies
- Identifying materials closely related to the research topic
- Arranging and supplying of full-text articles, if required so and
- Responding to queries related to the accessibility and delivery.
HU library and its spaces promote Do It Yourself (DIY) attitude towards learning. To nurture creative juices and provide opportunities to bolster creativity, library organizes maker workshops on different topics. Check our event calendar for further details. Apart from workshops, maker items and stationery are also issued to individual and groups of students for putting their creativity to work.
Information Literacy Workshops and Library Orientation Sessions
HU library team organize orientation sessions at the beginning of each semester to provide indepth knowledge about library and its services. Furthermore, information literacy workshops are also organized for the students to facilitate them to strengthen their literature searching, citation management and research skills. Color printing, binding and scanning Service
HU community may request for the color printing, binding or scanning of relevant and important documents, marketing materials etc. through this service. A nominal fee is charged for color printing.
