Learning from Best Practices: Marketing & Communications
For insights into the most effective way to communicate our vision to external audiences, Habib University staff members met with colleagues at Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar:
“The advice Carnegie Mellon University and Texas A&M University at Qatar gave us laid the groundwork for developing our marketing and communications department. They provided us with foundational documents, which helped us create Standard Operating Procedures, and guidelines based on best practices but reworked to fit local communications practices. Much of our initial design and communications work — newsletters and brochures included — were inspired by examples from CMU and TAMUQ.
The concept of higher education marketing and getting the most out of modern communication tools is not that well understood in Pakistan so I am grateful for the experience — it’s always worth looking at best practices in your field.
